These really are exciting times, as I have been given a massive opportunity to share my knowledge and experience with future generations of the health and fitness industry.

I was recently contacted and asked how I would feel about being a consultant for their BTEC Sports extended diploma. For those of you who are unaware, BHASVIC is an abbreviation of Brighton, Hove & Sussex Sixth Form College, which teaches 16 to 19 year old students.

Feeling honoured of course, I wanted more details and in turn found out that my skills with training special populations such as the older generation are what are being called in to play.

I’m now two sessions into my four or five. So far so good. I’m finding it really rewarding to share the experience I have gained over the years with our Over 50s Forever Fit group.

Yes, it still makes me nervous, but that’s a normal feeling when your taken out of your comfort zone.

The next step is a practical day, where members of Forever Fit have volunteered to be taught by the students, so that their work can be evaluated and assessed.

Wish us luck.

Martin
