Sitting here typing this is a very proud man... I went and completed the biggest fitness trial of my life.
In the end the ride was 308.5miles over 4 days, through some beautiful French countryside. Most of which you would normally miss if you were in a car. The experience was unbelievable and I have made some great new friends in the process.
We were lucky enough to have the road closed through Paris, meaning the Champs-Elysees was clear of traffic for the final approach of our epic bike ride. Emotions got the better of most of us, especially when we grouped together in front of the Eiffel Tower.
I set myself a target of raising £1,500. This was beaten before I even left. Since then the pot has grown to over £2,000!
If you were wanting to donate to such a great cause you can find my page here.
It was one of the greatest things I have ever done.
So what’s next to top it? Well there is talk of Paris to Geneva – but who knows?
Thank you to all that have supported my and the charity throughout my training and the event itself.
